~”The Fireworks Are About To Go Off, And I Don’t Want To Miss Them.”~ Olivia tells Phillip that it was a good idea to have Beth oversee Emma’s care; she thinks Beth truly has Emma’s best interests at heart. Phillip is happy that they finally agree on something. Olivia asks Phillip to call off his dogs. Phillip acts puzzled by Olivia’s comment. She explains that she is referring to the spies he has watching her. Phillip explains that right now they don’t agree about how Emma should be raised, and until a judge decides which one of them can raise Emma, he won’t call off his dogs. Olivia tells Phillip that one day Emma will realize what an animal her father is, and he will lose her just like he lost all the other women in his life. Phillip admits he hasn’t been the perfect father, but he loves his children, and they love him. Olivia tells Phillip that Lizzie is proof of his bad parenting skills, and she is determined that Emma will never turn out like Lizzie. Phillip assures Olivia that, once Emma grows up, she will want to be just like her older sister. “Over my dead body,” Olivia replies; Phillip is thrilled at the idea. Phillip asks Olivia to put all of his stock back into his account. Olivia replies that the only reason she hasn’t done it yet is that she’s forgotten. Olivia tells Phillip that she is more then ready for the fireworks if he wants a fight. Which road do I have to take to rear a good child?
The arrival of a baby is just the starting preparations involved in raising a child, as we all know that parenting is actually a life long commitment. All throughout the parenting process, you\’ll find yourself thinking and even daydreaming about things like wonderful times you will spend with your child, but you have to put that one on hold just for now.
The process of being a new parent.
To be able to assist your child in learning how to properly cope up with life and how to face its vicissitudes, you should allow your parenting skills to kick in and let it guide you on the right path. You have to remember parenting is not the type of job that you can quit, whenever you don\’t feel like it anymore.
Here are the processes that you should know to become skilled in parenting.
- To find out answers in solving your parenting issues you have to talk to another parent who has actually gone through that same situation as you have beforehand. There are forums that are available online nowadays and some are equipped with online chat options. There is no such thing as impossible in searching for others who are experienced in those kind of problems. There are many websites about parenting that you can find nearly all types of situation possible. Try to look at how they ended their issues and what their solution was and try to see if that may actually work for you as well.
Parenting is a never-ending job.
Many parents face the problem of trying to find the right solutions to help their child with their problems so rest assured you are not the only parent with this problem. To be a parent, this requires you to walk in a fine thin line. Always, think before you decide to become a parent. A child has to be taught how to take on responsibilities for all and any actions that they perform and they should be responsible for whatever consequences (from doing bad decisions) that lies ahead them. Any money that this world can offer cannot buy a child\’s laughter, kisses and meaningful hugs.
Teach your kids self-reliance
You may still believe that by giving your child things that they want is pleasurable. A child\’s independence is a important part for them to learn on how to earn what they want and be empowered to make their own true happiness. When your child has responsibilities, (even at a tender age) they too feels proud of their achievements and often feel needed, feel important and of course feel loved. If you suddenly noticed that you constantly give in to your child\’s whims, take a pause and ask yourself what made you do such a thing.
Get more compliance from your child.
By using rewards – You can focus on your child\’s positive attitude instead of the negatives by trying to put a marble in a jar when ever your child starts doing something for the first time that you asked which in turn provides more cooperation from your child. The following are 9 methods that a parent can use to gain more cooperation from their child. Your child is then less likely to oppose if he/she feels that he/she have some control of the situation when trying to gain cooperation from your child.
Common child and parent problems.
A lot of the lessons now are all computerized, most probably your child is more adept in using a computer than you are. How hard can being parent can be? In a sense, parenting can be considered as quite easy, however when it comes down to giving advice and helping your children this is where things get difficult. Plus, by being a active parent in your child\’s school system you will learn about their behavior while at school. Parents are trying to guide their children to the best of their knowledge by reliving their very own childhood/teen years and the truth of the matter is that parents haven\’t really moved forward to present times.
Make memories with quality family time.
You do not need to perform a major makeover in starting to increase your quality time that you and your family spend together.
The following tips ensure that your family time will be stress free and will ensure that you will make your family memories last for a lifetime:
- Plan a simple dinner that is delicious and nutritious, but doesn\’t require stress while preparing it. – Also, there should be a timeout for issues that have been brought up earlier and the issues should be continued at a later time which is another solution for enjoying stress memories.

The episode: As Monica and Tess take a walk through the city streets, they stumble across Monica’s next assignment, a young woman sleeping under a pile of garbage. The woman’s name is Lydia and she is a crack addict. As Monica follows Lydia into her apartment building, her beautiful clothes become like Lydia’s, ragged and dirty. Lydia’s landlord, who hasn’t received the rent, resolves to evict her, but Monica pays the rent and becomes Lydia’s new roommate. Meanwhile Lydia grabs Monica’s coat and tries to sell it on the street. Monica tails Lydia to her parents’ home, where Lydia breaks in to steal money. But Lydia’s parents show up, as do the police, and Lydia flees to a crack house. Monica finds Lydia smoking crack and causing a disturbance among the other addicts. Lydia runs into the street and gets hit by a car. When Lydia’s parents arrive at the emergency room the doctor informs them that Lydia is not only an addict, but shes also pregnant. Their disbelief is short-lived when Lydia delivers a crack-addicted baby girl. The 19th century English poet, Lord Alfred Tennyson, put this universal truth in writing: “In the spring, a young man’s fancy lightly turn to thoughts of love.” And there’s no better time of the year for a royal wedding! Apparently the April 29, 2011 marriage of Prince William of Wales and Kate Middleton, at Westminster Abbey with 1900 guests, will be watched by almost 2 billion people worldwide. Their long walk to the altar will be one of the most viewed TV events of the century.
Lots of girls grow up reading fairy tales about princesses and hoping to find a prince of their own. But living life in the limelight can make it difficult to build a successful relationship. Whether your marriage will last depends, in part, on how you prepare for the challenges. Some of the following tips may be helpful to you as well as the young royals:
1. Don’t surrender your self. Carve out a space in the marriage, maintaining the activities and friendships that make you who you are. Take creative action in your own life. You’ll have a more positive attitude, be more interesting to your partner, and your relationship will reap the benefits.
2. Keep your communication honest. Talk out misunderstandings before they become full-fledged arguments. Try to be patient and let go of issues that aren’t crucial. And stay present and engaged. Use the same conversational etiquette that you would with anyone else you care about and respect.
3. Compromise works in most conflicts. Be direct, yet open and flexible as you make your way through disagreements. Truly understanding the other’s point of view can help resolve a conflict more easily and quickly. A gentle touch or quick hug releases oxytocin, a hormone that facilitates bonding as well as reduces feelings of stress.
4. Keep the fun alive. Lightheartedness is often one of the first casualties of a busy and hectic life. Inject humor and laughter by joking around. This can turn into an affectionate moment which helps you feel closer, loved and even more relaxed. Making time to be playful with each other can often lead to greater intimacy.
5. Be sensitive to your new role as in-law. Competition may surface if your partner’s parents experience you as usurping their relationship with their adult child. Be yourself. Slowly but deliberately establish the ground rules in your marriage. Even so, include your in-laws from time to time – it can make a big difference.
6. Bring out the best in each other. Instead of focusing on the negatives, talk about what you want from each other. Then actually change some of your attitudes and behavior. When you are thinking something nice, say it out loud to your partner. Invest in your partnership and grow your emotional bank account – the dividends will last a lifetime.
When Kate marries the heir to the throne, she’ll take on civic duties and get involved in some of the Queen’s 200 charities. Kate and William are also interested in working together on projects that benefit the Commonwealth of Nations. Let’s hope the new marriage won’t take a back seat to all these responsibilities.
They’ve been together for 8 years and their relationship has stood the test of time. Kate is from an intact and loving family, had a normal early life and is down-to-earth. Despite the emotional trauma of his parents’ divorce and his mother’s death, William seems to be resilient and well balanced. Both have strong personal qualities that can only enhance a relationship that seems off to a good start. Best wishes to the newlyweds!
